After looking at all three videos it has helped me focus on the main points of my own video;
-genre and narrative
all three videos are pop videos and create a specific image of the artist as the videos mainly focus on the artist, including the narrative and upclose camera shots of them
Although the videos do have narratives they are not very specific and are quite random particularly funhouse by pink, which is the kind of look i want to go for in my own video for example there will be shots in the studio, different shots in blackpool and possibly another destination that i have not yet planned or thought of yet. I looked at Ellie Gouldings song, to get ideas from her performance and singing to the camera and also i like the different camera shots used to create the pop girly image made. Finally, i also like Katy perrys appearance and attitude in her video, specifically for when i am filming my artist in the studio - the sweets and bright colourful image is what i am hoping to create.
-settings, characters and plots
Although i have briefly outlined the settings of my video, i can now be more specific as to where i will actually be filming in some parts. In Blackpool i hope to catch scenes of my artists on rides, i have also thought of close up shots on teacups as she is spinning around, i also want to use the beach to film, with her running along the front, paddling in the sea, to combine with the lyrics that she is 'free' I also want to film sarah, my artist against a wall which i hope to edit, through making parts of her really bright eg, her red hair whilst she is against the wall in black and white i additionally want to edit, the pace on this part to fit with the fast beat in the song. I will film my artist in the stdio and props used will include lollipops candyfloss etc.. the studio shots will mainly focus on the artists image and lipsinking, working on the whole 'pop' image.
My video will not include any other characters to include as part of the video, possibly just backing actors as when i film i will mainly be focusing on my artist.
